I purchased Sarahs first book but sad to say never was really interested in preparing meals for freezer bags. I got addicted to Mountain House meals and never looked back. I like "easy" purchased Mountain House in #10 cans and repackaged them in freezer bags.

I recently gave the book away on backpackinglight.com on a "pay it forward" thread in their

Zelph, you are a kind hearted soul. That will pay dividends at some point ;)

They have pay-it-forward?

I am not fond of the expense of sending stuff in the mail, but I have an accumulation of "small stuff" I do not use.

I also have Sarah's first book.

I am not giving it up.

This coming week I'll be repackaging Mountain House meals.
A 3 day boy scout campout coming up. Going to teach them how to fish :D and find geodes across the Mississippi river from Keokuk, Iowa....geode capital of the USA. And most important, how to build a campfire  I'll be using a compact Diawa fishing rod/reel that was gifted to me from a friend in Ohio 8-) I'll be sure to take the "fish Skinner" also ;) for we will catch fish :fishing:
