Sexy Stove

Post by KLC » Sun Mar 13, 2016 8:30 pm

Same old Bud Bottle design but the Red color is my favoite. Reminds me of the Budweiser Chinese New Year bottles. Scored 5 at a country store, first and last time I ever saw them.

Nice find........have not seen those bottles for ages.

Just yesterday I came across a box in my garage that has a few of those stoves in it. They were made from a collectors series. If I think of it tomorrow I'll get them out and take a photo of them.

Thanks for stopping by and showing your creation :D

Tell us a little bit about your stove please. How much does it weigh, how much fuel does it hold, how much fuel required to boil 2 cups at room temp(70) and starting water temp at approx. 70 degrees. How long does it take for the jets to ignite? Does it go out when a pot of cold water is placed onto it? any photos of it burning, heating water?

2" tall
22 1/16 jets
Holds about 2oz fuel, never put more in it than that
Boils 2 cups in 6 minutes at room temp
This test has been done between 68 and 72 degrees
In my kitchen. I've boiled ice water on 1oz like this.
Results vary with Heet and denatured alcohol.
Blooms in under 30 seconds.
Pot will snuff out if you just place a cold pot on it but if
Lowered onto the stove slowly, like a 5 second drop it
Usually not affect it. Depends on how smooth the
Rolled edge is.

Jet count is based on the lined paper I use as a guide. I've had 20-22 jets and they perform about the same.

Now where did you put your pictures of your red stoves??

I wish I had better specs when having my die made. Would love to have a rolled edge like that. Mine was made by duplicating the radius on the bottle itself. I think we used the outside measurement, not taking into consideration the width of the material...

Good looking stoves Zelph.
