G&S Stovetop Oven..

What have you found in the thrift stores that you can modify or use as is?

Just use a hardwarecloth basket like the one I made for my version of cadyak's firemug stove. Store it in your cookpot. Place it in the center of the sterno stove and use the TLUD method of burning and I think you will be OK. I have a couple of those sterno stoves I will have to try to locate. ;)

Hmm..missed this post..
what will you use for slow, low heat? Wood, yes, but how? Slow twiggy feed?
Probably just use coals with a couple larger pieces smoldering on top. .and that occasional twig or two...or cheat with the sheba stove in there....I think the Stovetop ovens are made for higher heat anyway with the diffuser under it... :roll: Somewhere I have one of the larger sterno stoves(or two) also...
