DIY Hammock Instructions

That's the page I used when I was making my hammock. You can do that or tie a simple overhand knot in the end and use the knot like a marlin spike.

It's strong enough for half a dozen curious scouts swinging on it like a giant swing set :D .
The knot just compresses more as more weight is added, not likely to fail.

Hey, I got my material in yesterday and will start to assemble soon. Ideas are flowing, got to get sewing before it starts snowing and the winds a blowing.

Here is a website that specializes in simple hammock builds and hammock knots. Lots and lots of info for simple, inexpensive and no-sew...

Also, I know the name is hard for Americans, but it all started locally in puerto Rico. Hamacas means Hammocks and Taino is the name of the Carribean indians who may have even invented them. :)
