Looks like a family hammock. You might need a ladder to attach the ends to the trees. :roll:

Probably meant as some type of permanent camp site.

Seems inconvenient when you think about getting in and out to cook a meal or make coffee.

That's the newest thing in scouting "High Adventure" outings. I was wondering why all the scouts are eager to advance in their troop. :o

When they make "Eagle Scout" you get to go on this new adventure fully equipped with waitress/cook/mascot.

I just visited the link which you have provided and it looks like jumbo camping hammock. I think the hammock is best for any type of environment and any season.
