Pyromid 12" stove/grille

Postby zelph » Thu Feb 20, 2014 10:31 pm

Yesterday I was able to have some fun :DBfire:

It was a learning experience :D I used to much pellets

I need to make a major modification to regulate the incoming air. I'll make a slide bar to cover holes when necessary.

it burned smokeless up until I put the large damper plate on the grille.

It got to burning really hot for being in the greenhouse. Had to use some water to put it out

Thanks, been a long time since I had to do a video. Less pellets will work just fine. Yes, after the flames subside and the red hot coals have formed that's when the cooking begins on the grille. The red hot coals last a long time and the pyramid shape of the unit will concentrate the heat nicely.

Pretty cool rig. I'd love to see you try it as a solar cooker, too. Maybe that's a summer project, though?

Yes, a spring/summer project. The one video reminded me that I had the grill and the upper portion opened up just like the oven in the vid.

I'll have to see if any of the pyromids are available on the net.
