rocket stove question

Post by stevebo » Wed Oct 16, 2013 11:15 am

Hey guys, I was thinking about making a rocket stove to play around with--and have a few questions: Is the diameter of the tube the same thru out the stove? Is there any advantage to making the chimney tube a little smaller diameter than the horizontal tube? Is there any advantage to making the chimney tube tapered so the top end is smaller than the bottom (would it draw more?) Thanks for the help! :D

Good questions :D

Most of the time the tube is the same diameter and some I've seen are square and the same dimension.

A tapered vertical tube would be nice to focus and speed up the draft to the bottom of the pot.
