Ridgrunners videos showed me what was involved in the fire making. I new before ordering the big Kelly Kettle that I was going to use the original SS woodgaz stove to contain the batch of twigs.

The wood gas stove in the kettle was a great idea but you shouldn't have read too much into my over zealous fuel feeding. I bought the stove second hand with no instructions. I have since been schooled in the errors of my ways by the manufacturer.  I like the idea of less mess and wear in the fire bowl by using the woodgaz stove ;)

I think everyone would make the fire in it just like you did. You start a small fire and put the kettle on. You can't have a lot of tall/long twigs on the little fire because you wont be able to put the kettle on with any ease. So you start small and add twigs after the kettle is on. A little more twigs and then a little more. ;) and then finally it's boiling and spitting water out the spout so we hurry to take the kettle off and to our surprise the burning twigs fall out over the sides of the base. I think it's a comon thing that happens. I'll see if i can find a few videos.

Every Kelly Kettle video I have seen has had the burning twigs falling out. I know I could add more videos.

Right now: Here are more iron stoves with an oven.
