My goal is to make the kettle lighter and more efficient. I get rid of the burner pot and add a 4 cup Kmart grease pot and I can boil an addition 2-3 cups of water on top of the kettle. The pot on top can "cook a meal" The base of the kettle fits inside the grease pot for storage. It's all about weight loss and cooking gain. :D Stainless steel is all about rugged ;)

Looks like it works good. Do you use the kettle when you and your wife go camping? If you had it to do over, would you buy another kettle? Does your wife like how it works?

I use my big one at least 7 times last year. It's so easy to cook for 3 people on the big one by using the pot support on top while boiling the 6 cups in the kettle.

I used mine a couple of times in the back yard just for the fun of it. I love the smell of burning twigs :D You and your wife can spend the day at a local park sitting on a bench making your favorite hot drink with the kettle. Walk down the bike paths, take in the beauty of nature. The woods are going to start greening up, birds will start coming north. Spring is here!!!! Hooorah!!!!! :D

Don't let the weather stop you from getting a glowing ember. do it on your front porch or in one of your sheds. You don't have to make the fire, just get the glowing ember :D

Spring weather is here, think spring :D
