Finis Silicon Swimcaps at Walmart

Postby Allen » Thu Mar 20, 2008 11:31 am

Check out the sporting goods section of Your local Walmart, and You may find a Silicon Swimming cap
made by Finis. There's a lot of Silicon in this product for 50 cents :) They also sell a latex cap, so
check the label. I'll use this material to wrap some pot handles and Heineken cans and report
on the heat insulating qualitys. The cap is shaped like a bowl, so I guess You could try to use it
as a flat, lightweight bowl? Here's a pic :

Nice find!!!!! Use it as a collapsable cooking pot. There's a video that shows the guy holding a water filled ballon over a candle flame. Why not 2 cups of water in one of these caps. Surely a potstand could be formed from something :D

I used 3/4" strips to wrap the handles of the IMUSA 40 oz Cup and Grease Pot (Thanks Russ!)
It works Great!
I tried it on a Heineken Pot, but it got too hot.
