Also, since I'm a cheapskate I have a large 12.5 x 9 Chinook tarp as well. So yea, it's long but if I get the smaller hammock I should have quite the "cabin in the woods" with my setup.
Let's call you "thrifty" As long as you are into paddleboarding, you can have all the comforts of home a long with your "cabin in the woods" even a canvas latrine/toilet enclosure.
today I was eyeballing 2 trees outside the window of my camper. They will be used for my experimental bridge hammock idea. I came home today from the campground and hope to get some materials together to do a basic test. Did you ever wish there were 48 hours in a day?
My idea involves the trees being large and close together. As we know, the longer the lines, the more stretch and sag. I'm looking for the flat lay of a hammock. I may have only webbing and a self inflating matress to begin with as a test.
