Lovely stove, with much character: the Phoebus on top of it's carry tin in the photo.

This is the first I have seen one since, I started mountclimbing. All the older mountaineers all had this Phoebus, a nice little backpacking stove. (We all called ourselves "mountaineers" in those days, because there is more to mountainclimbing than only climbing the mountain.)
It is a great stove!
My first stove was the Svea 123 only because this model Phoebus was no longer sold and no one would part with their Phoebus.
But I made "good memories" with the Svea 123.

What else is there to know, camping 101?
Is the Phoebus made by Svea?

They come up on ebay periodically; Phoebus 625 and 725. You can figure $75 and up. Its been on a short wish list but the pockets are never quite that deep. Oops has several Phoebus stoves, I believe. I'm not sure about SVEA being the maker.

Which must also be affiliated with Primus. I have a stove like the one on the far right of the link Connie posted and it has a Primus decal on the front. I noticed there was a decal underneath the primus so I carefully started peeling it back to discover a Optimus decal
