Foldable Pocket Cooker

Postby brooklynkayak » Thu Nov 20, 2008 7:35 pm

The "Foldable Pocket Cooker"

Too heavy for backpacking, I'd guess 2 lbs, but packs small, literally fits in a pocket.
Good emergency survival stove or for canoe/kayak camping.
Made out of heavy gauge steel.

Use a handful of twigs and/or pine cones. charcoal works well.

It is good for pots 1 liter or less.

Looks like the stove they sell in "The Backwoodsman" magazine. Would be great for car camping or kayaking. ;) Looks to fold down flat for storage.

Welcome to our neck of the woods, brooklynkayak. We hope you stop in more often and share ideas with a good bunch of people. :D

Is there any stoves you only have one of?

I have a real nice collapsible woodburner that is half the weight and made somewhere on the west coast of Canada. :D

Glad to have you here brooklynkayak :D

I don't have one of the folding stoves. It looks like it would be able to feed long twigs in through it's side for easy continuous feed. Nice one!!!

Thanks for stopping in and sharing some thoughts.
