Coming tomorrow.
Anyone use a remote fueled stove and want to share some experiences.
Something I heard recently is that it's difficult to get all the fuel out of the fuel hose. Any comments on this?

Re: Remote Fueled Stoves
I've used the Whisperlite and the Apex with no problems but I'm guessing that you are inquiring about remote alcohol fueled stoves

I use a remote wood fueled stove where I have to throw the wood on the fire...

Does this count as remote fueled?

He also had the same idea as me only he is making steam. I wanted hot water to come out (just feed the tube faster)

Yeah, that counts. That was down right clever. Do you think it's gravity fed or does he poke it down at the bottom of the feed tube?
What could he use the steam for?
Steam heated green house in the mid of winter

I tested some 1/16 id fuel hose (aka Micro fuel line) to see if the fuel drains out easily. It does not drain completely. That means the hose has to be stored outside the pot in a plastic bag. In warm weather it will leak out the hose for sure when you least expect it.
tomorrow I'll test the 1/8" id hose.

He claims that using chips rather than sticks lets it feed by itself without jamming. There are some ideas out there for using sticks but so far I don't think anyone has a working model.

If it's non electric I'd have to see it operating in person before I purchased one..
