You lucky dude you!!!! My turn this coming week. One week of good cooking with dutch ovens and kelly kettles for water and cooking on top of them. No gas stoves alowed. Even if it rains I'll use wood. I'll take some photos of you I arrange a cover over my fires. I use a thrift store weber grill cover supported with steel legs, you'll see :D

Those lima beans look good, have not had them in a while.

Last year was the first year we cooked with the dutch ovens. Like them alot.

You didn't let any grass grow under your feet before you used your derusted oven :D

You're making me hungry oops.

I found an app for my android phone that lets you calculate the number of briquettes (top and bottom) for a given temperature depending on pot size.

That's as far as I got with dutch oven cooking (I still need the pot  )

sounds useful. If I had one of those phones I'd probably melt it  I'm always near fire and a little too close sometimes

This is a nice accesory for the oven

350degrees sounds good. Maybe I can find one on discount somewhere. Maybe I'll get one. Money is getting short ;)

Local SAM's club sold a small cast iron set for $40 a few years ago. I should have scooped one up. Came with a small dutch oven and 2 fry pans. For now, I'll see if I can get lucky and find one at a sale.
