Zelph's fancyfeast copy

I made one like zelph but i used a bottom of a Altoids can tiki wick ss hardware cloth with 1/8 holes

had to put it on a taller can to get picture./2 oz. burn time7 min. 20 oz. water boil 6 min. All i can say is not how long it burn but as long as a 1/2 oz. will boil 16 or 20 oz. water that to me is good as it get why try for longer burn wast of fuel

Did you just wrap the Tiki wick around the inside of the Altoids can inside the wire mesh?

yep the wick is a round the can then the screew is put in to hold. Can wick then screew

Do you always test with 20 oz. water?

Can you light the stove after the pot is put on?

Where did you get the 1/8 ss hardware cloth?

I agree 100% what you said about 1/2 ounce of fuel to boil 16 ounces/2cups of water. If it takes too long then you really have to have a good windscreen setup and insulate the bottom of the stove in cool weather.

yep most of the time 20 oz. water i have a big cup he he.No its like this nobody really puts 16 oz. of water when they pore some water in a pot or kettle it could be less then 16 oz. or just a little more so this way no guess you know its close as you do it on the trail. The hardwere cloth where use to work we had lots of it shaker screen. All my frig benefits are gone now. Yep can light when pot is on.
