Zelph sent me his lightweight Chinese Stainless Steel cook pot with a snug fitting lid. I made some mods to make pouring and draining easier. Here is what I came up with:

Really worked out nice
Did it make the lid fit a little less tight? They are snug to begin with.

Maybe a little less snug but still snug enough to tip and pour without worrying about it plopping right off

Very nice modification. Thanks for sharing it. I will mod mine also some day soon. I have an archeological adventure coming up in Sept. Will be traveling light and cooking light
