I remember reading about that ice fishing mess in ohio. People got rescued but their 4 wheelers and gear were left on the ice flow to sink when it melted.

Looks like a costly rescue operation. Helicopters had to go in and get them. 1 person died. Sad situation.

Really, I'd hate to harvest the neighbors dog, thinking it was a large doe.... :o

I once nailed a ferral dog coming thru my yard along with 2 other dogs. I had seen them roaming the area during the week. I saw the pack coming in the direction of my place so I quckly grabed my bow and was able to get a shot off as the passed close to the house. The arrow passed clean through and the pack wnt about 50 feet and one of them stopped and wnt to ground in a resting pose. The other 2 dogs sensed it was in trouble. They stood close by hunched in a manner that it looked as if they would attack it and eat it if they had the chance. The one stood up and was able to proceed off my property in the direction of the forest preserve a few hundred feet away..........I suspect it was eaten for dinner. Glad I could be of help. ;)

Thin the herd ;)

That fresnal lens was made to put in front of small tv"s. Made in the 50's I think.

The fresnel lens will be used for a home made solar oven this summer so I can have a cook off with oops56....

That would be great to sit down with oops and watch the 2 of you have a cook off. Hope he's staying warm up there in Vermont. I bet he's got his wood burner going full tilt to keep warm. I wonder if he has a path shoveled out to his man caves. Lots of stoves in there for sure to keep him warm :D

Any signs of deer around your stand yet?

I was back there today. I saw deer, coyote, and rabbit tracks. I jumped two rabbits in the process. We are still trying to figure out the best way to get the tower level and untwisted :o
