New Altoids can
Has anyone came across these yet they are small 2-1/4 long by 1-1/2 wide 1/2 deep closed getting my thinking cap on it be a burner of some kind.

Looks like a hinged top - which means it doesn't seal off completely when closed. But I supposed you could make a square wick pad holder from it. I liked the round Altoids tins with the removable top, as well as the LifeSavers round tins with the snap closed top.

I get these all the time and there are countless uses! You can use them for an emergency first aid/fishing kit. Add wax and wick for lightweight pocket candle, iv used in a pinch as an esbit and alcohol stove (as long as you can fashion a pot stand). They fit well inside a larger altoids tin as well!

I like the tins. They are multifunctional to say the least. Last year I made a nice stove out of the larger tin. Used the StarLyte burner as the heat source.
