Hpw about a couple cross bars like the one I just posted in the OOPS!What's this? thread.Just pull the bars off and set the pot on top...You could add a hanging ring that works as a windscreen off the cross bars..

One of the issues that I see is that by adding the pot stand, I will more than likely lose the ability to easily extinguish the flames.

Pooff the flame out. Pinch your lips, build up the pressure in you lungs and let it out in a poooff, a quick powerful burst. Combine these two faces when you pooooff :o  see, that was powerful

You've got yourself a first class stove there Jon. I'm glad to have been a help to you. Thanks for the mention in your video.

Did you test at various dimensions from pot to burner?

I like the number 3 for test data repeatability. :D

Great video and great stove!!!!!

The pot stand must wobble a little because of the curved bottom???

you can increase the diameter slightly by cutting the top horizontal wire off the screen and bending the remaining vertical wires out at 90*.

Thanks for the explanation and diagram. I agree with you, smaller than 2" you have to have a small mug/pot to get it centered on a small diameter. Easy to lose your lunch :D

Interestingly the efficiency tends to increase with altitude. Let me know what you think.

That surprises me also. I would have thought is would be less efficient at higher elevations.....interesting. As far as the windscreen; maybe you could put an extra sock over it before putting it in your bottle pouch

I appreciate the time involved in your tests ;) The results are interesting. How much efficiency credit do you give to the shield and windscreen?

Have you resolved the snagging of your pack by the windscreen?

Your hike was in a spectacular area, thanks for the video tour, always good to see the grandeur of Yosemite.
