optimus 8r clone fuel question

Postby steamjam » Sat Mar 16, 2013 1:01 am

I just got my hands on a Russian built Optimus 8R "clone" I cant find any info on the net on what its designed to burn. White gas? Auto gasoline? kerosene? Hydrogen? Matter/anti-matter? Dilithuim crystals?

Anyone out there with a clone 8r who knows?

Maybe a blend of Romulan Ale and Ferenge Earl Grey T

On the other hand maybe the original fuel used for the Optimus 8R being that it's a "clone" My money goes on the original fuel ;)

Welp. I guess with this one stove I'll just try all the popular fuels: Naphtha, alcohol, regular unleaded, kerosene, Heck maybe I'll go down to the round house and get meself a cup of bio-diesel.

I looked around and the clones are no more expensive then the real 8R's, unless you buy one on Ebay and pay the $$$$ to get it shipped here from Europe. I got mine locally in trade for a broken 1950's railroad watch which even if it did run, I can't use on the RR because the configuration is not rules compliant.
