Thanks for checking and clicking. I have done a bit of web site building, so I know how that goes. No, I do not have my own site.

I got interested before April 2011, which is when I set out north from Roanoke VA on the AT. I cannot blame any one individual for my addiction, except myself. When planning my hike, I looked at lots of alcohol stoves on various web sites, including White Blaze and here. Tetkoba has a lot of inspiring designs. I am inspired by your commitment to safety, with your spill-proof designs, and your willingness to lock horns with the bullheaded. I lean more towards the pressurized burners, but quickly lost interest in jetted soda cans and White Box Stove clones.

Thanks for having me.[/quote]

We're going to pick your brain to see if you truly are a stoviewander

Tetkoba has too much time on his hands  He needs to zero in on 1 piece stoves ;) User friendly type 8-) and then he can make some "practical" ones. :o

I think about your run-in with the killer billy-goat once in a while when hikers ask questions about bears on different forums.

Hi, I'm Dave from Minnesota and have been burning esbit for years although I sometimes use a canister when my wife is along. Lightweight backpacker and car camping with a teardrop camper.

Hello Dave from frigid MN

Last year I was eyeballing a used teardrop camper for some quick weekend jaunts away from home. :D

Esbit has been a fuel I've focused on recently. I'm always tinkering with ways to burn it. The Mini Esbitmizer is a recent project.

What do you use to burn esbit and support your pot?

Welcome, Dave from Minnesota.

Do you use Esbit in cold weather? If so, how many for what quantity hot water?

Hello,
Jed here. I live in Alberta, Canada. I'm here to read up on ways to lighten up my pack because I'm going on longer backpacking trips now and the weight starting to bug me and Im sure there's lots of cool tricks and jazz here, so thanks!
