eventually giving it to an old local hawaii friend that used it in Japan for the 15-20 years that he lived there as a school teacher(now in sacremento).As far as I know,that board is still in Japan being used by one of his friends.



and now they sell for $6,000 on ebay...vintage surf boards. You shoulda hung on to it :o :shock:

I used to watch Hawaii 5 "O" Never got near the big waves with a board :mrgreen:

Come on..I'm not that old.. :o :lol: ..Nah..probably worth about $400 or so..I watch surfboard prices here and on ebay...Old vintage longboards rarely go over $1500(unless someone really special made it) and newer ones run used about $300-500.
There is quite a resrgence of wooden hollow surfboards with some real works of art you can find on the net.I've wanted to make one for using at my other place..just haven't found sheets of cork at a good price..Lots of plans for them on the net.
