Re: Fiberglass Shelter Poles ?
I could have recently used those for wiring my workshop as we ran wire from the attic through an insulated was to the basement crawl space using a wire fish. It took a couple hours to finally get it through.

Nice...I like the fact they screw together. Many times the looong tent poles would come undone at the joints when assembling/disassembling the tents.
even though they have the elastic cord holding them together.
Thanks for sharing your find. Harbor freight has coupos for this weekend, good time to buy the poles.

Re: Fiberglass Shelter Poles ?
good point...flimsy for sure. That size is what is used in holding the rain fly over the windows of my Headquarters tent. I should get a set also as spares just in case I need to make a repair.

Re: Fiberglass Shelter Poles ?
I'll pull them out and send pics of what I have..I think those 3/16" ones might work well for a tent-kite
..not for a tent..but I think I have some about that size.I think most are more like 3/8",7/16"..kind of heavy for hiking but not for car-camping tents..I hope you don't require them all the same color..

Re: Fiberglass Shelter Poles ?
Well the poles I was thinking about must have been on my coleman tnet that I gave to my son.
My headquarter's tent poles for the windows are 3/8' dia. the ends of the poles look like the photos. The pole sections are only about 12" lengths so they fold up compact.

Re: Fiberglass Shelter Poles ?
Out of all the poles I have..I only have 5 with those ends...2-15'(3/8s)..2-13-6"(5/16)..and one at 55"(1/4")..the sections range from about 18" for the short..3/8" is 21" and the 5/16" is 24"...

Now if you weren't so picky about the ends...

Can you possibly buy ends for say 3/8" poles?
