"list of cottage industry manufacturers"

http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/printth ... =20&page=1

http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthr ... ost1257909

This list was compiled by "1azarus" of whiteblaze.net

There are two threads going on this topic and this one with the Sticky did not have the most recent updates. So I copied the most recent update from the other thread to here to make this info easier for people to find. I also fixed a few links. All links work as of Sep 22, 2012.
I love this list! Thanks 1azarus

You're welcome. It's nice to have a list like this handy to do a quick check of something while here or at Whiteblaze. There are times I can't remember a name of a company and doing a google search interferes with my train of thought, etc etc :o Then If I go to WB I can't remember what forum it's in  yes RR, it's called "oldtimers"

I made it into a "sticky" thread so it will stay at the top.

Nice job, Dan. In your case it's not old timers but only half timers. You're still a young pup ;)

What part of "Cottage Industry" China do those come from?

I wouldn't be playing like that anyway..my concert size ukuleles sound more like this..and out in the woods this would be closer to what I would probably be playing ...

Better than me?.. I haven't played anything new here in a long, long time.. Most people I know don't believe I've only been playing about 1-1/2 years..but I have to keep a lot of instruments in tune, you know.. ;)

The video was meant to an inspiration to others so they would conside taking a lightweight instrument out into the woodlands. Gene Autrey had a nice geetar while he roamed the trails out West. Roy Rogers had one on his happy trails ;) Dale Evans used a ukelele :o

We're onto you. We know you make quality instruments for sale. :D

Well Cuz, I think she may have you in the vocal department. Zelph, I think if I were to take a lightweight instrument on a long hike, I might consider the harmonica; less weight and less space. ;)
