Actually..I'd call it a hatchet by the handle length(swung by a burley dude!) and it's weird in that the design is only on one side.The other side is flat!It appears it's supposed to be sharpened only on the top side also with a full angle cut one side and flat on the other.Someon ehas added a tiny bit of taper to the back edge..nothing major.I need to look it up on ebay or in "ax history" to see how old the thing is.It does have the "True Temper" logo on it and "flint edge" on the blade.The handle has a ding on the back edge where someone tried to use it for a hammer..and missed.
