RR, lots of good things to do with the stove. I have a vid showing the charcoal being used. good thing there were crickets making some sound. :D I sure wasn't  The video was meant for my reference only :o

Look at this one that shows the flames with wood pellets. 1 cup of pellets boils 4 cups of water.

So much detail in the construction of this high tech wood stove. What is the average build time? It appears to labor intensive. Another great concept ;)

Thanks RR. Yes, it takes a bit of labor to build them.

Not much interest has been shown in them since I introduced the design. I don't think I'll be making any more. I have a few left that I'll sell here at bplite.

I hope there will be a lot of folks that will pick up on the loading of twigs vertical and top light.

The back packing world seems to center on canister stoves. A small portion using alcohol stoves.

A good wood stove is nice to have in emergencies. They are easy to make. Quart size paint can, can opener and a grate to keep fuel up off the ground just above the bottom holes.

The Chinese manufacturing engine is flooding the market and eBay with dirt cheap can cannister stoves making it an easy pick for many users. No mess with the fuel canister but people don't take in consideration of the canister weight, filled space in their pack, and the need to pack them out. I use them periodically as I do white gas, alcohol, and wood stoves. Sometimes, I have even taken two stoves :o

Testing a link to a video by "bablefish" of youtube fame. He sure knows his cooking. I sent them a stove to play with during their spare time. This video was made last year in November after their annual fall hammock hang gathering.

At minute 4:39 is the beginning of the stove portion.

Zelph, Do you still have the last stove? If so, I'll take it.

I saw it in the garage this past week so it's gotta be there. :P It's yours :D

A couple of months ago I prayed my original with high temp stove paint. Looks nice. All the old shiny finish had completely dissapeared so I knew it was ready for the paint job.
