Thanks for sharing that information JollyRogers. Can this f4 tape be purchased at the Big Box hardware stores?

You can get the "As Seen on TV versions of it" At places like Walgreens. Usually 3 rolls for about $10-12. It takes longer to fully cure (1 to 24hhrs) and isn't quite as heat resistant (I think around 450 degrees as opposed to about 600 degrees). Ace Hardware also carries it. I think it is called Mighty Fixit.

This morning I had a need to remember this tape. At one of the local dollar stores you can get sheet silicon for cookie sheet liner. Cut the sheet to a 2" width, wrap around a heineken pot and secure with the self fusing silicone Oxide tape.

I found some of the tape clearanced at harborfreight. I used it to wrap my diy camp knife. Made a nice grip when wrapped over paracord.
