Nicely done, cadyak! Now you have three fuel options; wood, alcohol, esbit.

Nice the way it worked out with the top jets. You should sell a few of those stoves on ebay and see how they do. What kind of price tag do you have on them?

I like the color of stainless after it's been heated. It's mellow!!!

What you using for sparks?

Ive never tried the Esbit. It seems like it would work pretty well in here though.
I have been using this same configuration for alcohol for a while now. The jets on the Cobalt make a nice narrow flame that stays off the neck of the cone.
A Starlyte stove or other small center flame stoves would also work well in any Firemug. In any wind I use a fairly tight fitting windscreen when burning either alcohol or wood.
just a quick couple of flame shots from a stove that is a grade heavier metal with slightly different top hole relationship.

For a fire steel at home I use the army Light-my-fire. Its 3/8" thick and will hurl some fire :geek:

I have been planning a trying ebay at some point and just need to get off my butt and do it.

Plus canned heat, sterno, even a bowl/can of kerosene should work(but stink)..lot of options!..practically whatever is available..Makes for a good universal set.

Didn't see an answer to this yet.

I use this and it seems to work:

[the word "youtube" without quotes] paste all your youtube numbers/letters after the equal sign here [/ the word "youtube" without quotes]

don't forget the / in the last set of brackets.

I was wondering about that myself. I thought there might be a copy paste link from youtube that might work
