I got the idea from the Sterno Turbo found on Zenstoves.net.
Materials used are a Budweiser aluminum bottle, 2 1/4" tea-lite tin from Jo-Ann's( Thanks a bunch, Zelph! ), three 1/2" binding post extensions, and three 8-32 aluminum screws( screen door hardware ).
You don't need to do a thing to the tea-lite tin.
The Budweiser bottle gets a 1 1/4" hole in the middle plus three 8-32 holes drilled and tapped for the potstand(1/2" binding post extensions), and I used a Dremel tool to make it look like this.
Finished stove. Note the slits @ 3/8" down from the top.
I've done a half dozen bench tests so far and the stove consistently boils two cups in 5:30 in a Heineken pot. And it boils an additional two minutes after that. Every time so far.
Here is a shot of the stove in full bloom.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot.
