Try this one.

Postby beemerphill » Wed Apr 26, 2017 8:23 am

Here is a contest that Duluth Trading is currently running. I guessed that it was a pipe clamp. That is way too easy and probably wrong. The winner gets their name put in a drawing for $100. Some of the users here might have the experience to win this one. Good Luck !!

My guess on the sharpener is sickle bar blades. I don't think that this is right, but if it is, no prize is needed. It is just fun to see the old equipment and try to figure out how it worked.

You got it right, sickle bar blade sharpener. The blade are V shape. I had one at one time. It performed three actions at one time, rotated the stone, moved it forward and upward and then reversed the actions. Gave it to my brother who collected farm antiques.

They have a new tool to test your knowledge on oldies:

Thanks for the link to Duluth. My guess was an anchor to pull logs or round stock. After placing on the pole, it is tipped to lock it on and use as an anchor. This sounds kinda lame to me, but it is the best that I could come up with.

They got another one. This one is hard. I guessed a tool to cut the kernels off a cob of corn, and I am wrong. Good Luck!

I'd guess it's a wood working tool of sorts.

The previous one was a Crandall Hammer

I may take a ride up into Wisconsin today to pay a visit to the store just for the fun of it. The weather looks good for a Sunday country road drive :D

There is a tool museum there also where they are getting the photos of these mind twisting tools from no doubt.

Something to do for Father's Day :D

I believe that is a cavemans multitool; one side brushes hair and the other side brushes teeth :DP:
