Not a steam whistle. Not a whistle of any kind.

I think oops might be somewhat on track but maybe a light signal(or lights your pole tip) when you get a bite..attaches to the pole..appears to have a light bulb in the end..

Oops got it started and Realityguy finished it.

Device used at night, clamped to fishing pole, line inserted onto coil of wire. fish tugs on line, light goes on to alert fisherman.

My father came up with the idea and made prototypes at his place of work. He showed his idea to far too many people. One year later a commercial one came out into the sporting good stores. :o He was a yeat too late and a dollar short

I have his prototypes and will photograph them in the near future.

Now you know why I don't show and tell everything :P

Reminds me of tinny showing how to use the bottom of budwiser bottle as a means of making a stove like his bios. Have you seen all the videos on you tube of people making the bios and whitebox thanks to tinny?

Reminds me of myself also. Showed folks how to make the Fancee Feest and the rest is history. :D
