Delete that other items description, you might still get him
Daren for the win. (he made me think of multi-tool when he said knife). I wonder if they are the original prototypes for the leatherman. Probably collectors items

Re: Mystery tools
The cutlery set has a swing clip the locks it opened or closed. Neat little set. I am amazed what I find at the church sales sometimes. I had two nice Ugly Sticks in my hand for $5 ea. but before I checked out, I looked them over good and noticed the each had one or two busted eyelets so I put them down. I stopped by on saturday for the cleanup bag sale where you can fill a shopping bag for $2.50 and the fishing poles and a diawa spinning reel were still there so I nabbed them. My dad has built a couple nice fenwick rods and said he can replace the busted eyelets so I came out good. I found a packable fishing pole and reel combo in a case that i had overlooked the previous night. I also spotted a water filter drink bottle that I had overlooked as just a sports bottle so I threw it in the bag. I also picked up an old portable Sears Kenmore sweeper for three dollars that I bought just for the metal hoses to use for a chimney for my woodstove project. I hope that contest is due the end of October .
The pepper mill has a "P" stamped on the push button so I imagine it was part of a salt and pepper set. It is heavy for its size but I could not resist nabbing it as I am a pepper junkie!
I will keep it in my lunchbox.

Re: Mystery tools
I still don't understand how they can hide that big spoon head in the small handle...
I'm thinking I'll start carrying cheap wood chopsticks for camping..why not!We use them around here all the time...
..You can't beat the weight factor if you use them for eating, stirring, fork, fork, spoon, stabber and whatever else..like even firestarting kindling when you are done eating with them.
I see packages of 100 sets at thrift stores for a dollar or two...
