I have yet to see a vac bag that wasn't rated for submersion in boiling water - so as long as you buy the major brands don't worry, the whole 'boil in a bag' is a big selling point on them.

i learned one thing very quickly. the bags will only vacuum in one direction. i was trying to make a custom sized bag and it would not vacuum crossways in the unit. i sacrificed a couple pieces off the roll to make sure i wasn't crazy. ;) it seems that the little bumps in one side of the bag create air channels in one direction only.
