Re: trail chili

Well, I like your chili idea. I am not much of a fan of "real chili". Too much meat :D

Post away! Would love to see it....

Yeah, I think I'll side with their testing (which they do plenty of) rather than an anonymous theory on the interwe...

Re: Plastic Lined Beer Cans as Pots

Considering that most hikers only get out at most a couple times a year the whole issue of lined cans is pretty moot to the actual carcinogens you inhale daily......such as the ones from sitting in traffic, in your home water, in your office (that nice wall to wall carpeting does breathe), etc. Heck...

Re: Packit Gourmet

Zelph drools on the monitor!!!!!! :P Sarbar, what are the bells and whistles on the frypan handle? When GSI brought out the new pot sets this year they did a full new handle (about time!). It clicks into the pan now so no "Dang it! I dropped the pan!" moments.... The handle also folds in ...

Re: Time to make up some dinners

I eat a lot of Jasmine rice....so yes, I'll admit to being a rice hoarder - and I buy by 20-25 lb bags at a time. I use the food vac I have to divvy out small bags of 2-3 lbs. Works great
