Re: Stove of choice for an AT thru hike
I'm torn between a Fancee Feest for lightweight, and the Trangia for durability!

Stove of choice for an AT thru hike
Been watching a few YT videos of people thru hiking the AT this year. Got me thinking of what stove I would carry if I ever did a thru hike. What would you carry and why?

You could also take the pot and trace the opening on a pie tin, cut it and add a screw with tape on it for the handle. Sorry, just feel DIY is more fun and economical! Don't see why people pay so much for lids that they can make themselves!

Re: The Halulite Minimalist pot lid is a porker.
That's odd. I use tin foil for my IMUSA pot and also use the tin foil to pick it up on the handle. Have never had any problems. Of course i never let it hit the flame. I also use tin foil as a wind screen. Oh, and i put it under my stove on cold days. Love the stuff...if you can't tell!

Re: The Halulite Minimalist pot lid is a porker.
Why not just use a piece of tin foil? It's light, folds up, and you could propably use it as a pot gripper also.
