What a great character. He sent me some hard to find stove parts and would not take anything for them. I wish I could have got him to sell me one of his Borde Bombs but We always had a good banter with Robert. RIP ol friend!

It is a Eureka Timberline 2, I believe. The pole configuration is slightly different than yours.

When I made the rainfly to my Speers DIY hammock kit, I had one long center seam to seal. I used a solution of silicone mixed with mineral spirits and brushed it on the seam. It has lasted a good ten years or longer.

I can't see where sinking your boat would protect it? There was plenty of advance warning to have got your boat off the coast before the storm ever got close. I never understood why people on the coast will hunker down rather than evacuating. I had several sibling that rode it out and one that came ...
