Re: OOPS!..Do you have one of these stoves?

...Didn't know they still had those but I'm set with 10-15 of the Gaz Canisters..That may add value to all of those Gaz stoves I have if REI is still carrying the canisters. here's the story......... a kayaking buddy picked up a C-Gaz stove locally off craigslist, and couldn't find any canisters fo...

Re: OOPS!..Do you have one of these stoves?

i've seen the Camping Gaz canisters at a few local retailers in my 'hood.
at Wholesale Sports in Langley about two weeks ago i saw a shelf full of them.
Skyview in Surrey had them three years ago.
REI in Seattle is said to have them as well.

Re: my new backpack

all the light colored wood on the deck came from one board.
the interesting bookmatched pattern on the fore deck is from sorta putting the board back together the way it came apart. ;)

Re: my new backpack

the skin-on-frame kayaks weighed in at the 25 pound range. i also built a S&G at 26 pounds (no hatches or bulkheads). i still have the second strongback i built. a 6 x 6 box beam of 1/2" plywood, 16 feet long. i have a strip built kayak in the skop that i've been working on, off and on, for...

Re: my new backpack

i've built them all. i started out building a cedar-strip canoe from plans. seems like a long time ago. ;) i had already started my second canoe before the first was finished. i've built a few stitch-and-glue kayaks of my own design (based on low volume Greenland style kayaks). several Skin-on-Frame...

Re: my new backpack

nice looking kayak Cadyak! did you build it yourself? CLC? (i've built about a dozen kayaks and canoes)
i've dragged the whole ultra-light mentality into my kayaking. people are always amazed at how little stuff comes out of my boat.
